Who We Are

We are a welcoming and inclusive faith community, exploring our spiritual journey with God. Whether you’re a believer, a seeker, or someone with doubts, you’ll find space here. If past religious experiences have left you disillusioned, we offer a fresh start—one built on love, respect, and the freedom to ask honest questions.

We are a congregational church, meaning we govern ourselves, support each other, and shape our own path. But that doesn’t mean we’re alone—we’re proudly part of the United Church of Christ (UCC), a progressive Christian tradition that values justice, inclusion, and the ongoing search for deeper understanding. Our autonomy is not about separation, but about meaningful connection—with each other and with the broader Christian community.

When you visit, expect a warm welcome. We invite you to engage at your own pace—whether that means joining conversations or simply observing. Many start by attending our Sunday worship service at 10:00 a.m., featuring inspiring music, a thought-provoking message, and the opportunity to participate in prayer (or simply reflect in silence).

What to Expect

Worship That Inspires

We are known as a traditional church with a contemporary message. Our pastor connects scripture to everyday experiences, helping us discover God’s timeless love in a modern world. Our talented choir, musicians, and soloists bring the message to life through music. Join us live on YouTube every Sunday at 10 a.m., or watch recorded services anytime at www.cdmucc.org/youtube.

Who You’ll Meet

Our church is made up of people from all walks of life—students, professionals, artists, teachers, parents, retirees, LGBTQ+ individuals, and everyone in between. We come from different backgrounds, but together, we form a family rooted in faith, friendship, and a shared desire to grow spiritually. No matter where you are on your journey, you are welcome here.

Our Mission

As Corona del Mar Community Church, United Church of Christ (UCC), we strive to:

What We Believe

We believe in the power of God’s love—always present, always available. Each person is created in God’s image and called to live with purpose and compassion.

Rather than a strict creed, we embrace the freedom of individual faith. Everyone’s spiritual path is unique, and we encourage deep exploration. Our members reaffirm their commitment to the community each year through a simple yet meaningful process called “covenanting.”

There is no single way to believe or belong here. Come as you are and explore faith in a way that feels right for you.

Our Purpose

We exist to bring people together in worship, to seek God’s presence in daily life, and to live out Jesus’ teachings in meaningful ways.

How We Operate

As a congregational church, we make our own decisions and shape our own faith journey, yet we remain deeply connected to the wider Christian tradition through the UCC. This independence isn’t about isolation—it’s about fostering deeper, more meaningful connections with others in faith. Volunteers make everything we do possible.

We invite you to explore, connect, and grow with us.

Wherever you are on life’s journey, you belong here.
