Office Manager & Media Specialist

Corona del Mar Community Church is looking for a warm, organized, and creative person to serve as our Office & Digital Media Manager. You’ll be the friendly face and steady hand behind the scenes — welcoming everyone who walks through our doors, keeping our office running smoothly, and helping tell our church’s story online and in print. If you love people, love order, and have an eye for good design, we’d love to meet you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position blends administrative support with communications and digital media, working closely with the Senior Pastor, staff, ministry leaders, and congregation. You’ll help create a welcoming environment for every member and guest while keeping our calendars, files, and communications organized and up to date. Above all, you’ll play a meaningful role in helping people grow in faith, connect in community, and experience the life of our church.

WHAT YOU’LL DO — ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Welcome guests, answer phones, and connect visitors and volunteers with the right people
  • Manage church and building-use calendars, keeping them accurate and up to date
  • Support the Wedding Coordinator with scheduling and paperwork as needed
  • Serve as a go-to resource for the Pastor, church leaders, and committees
  • Prepare the weekly worship bulletin in consultation with the Senior Pastor
  • Coordinate with vendors and maintenance technicians
  • Organize digital and paper church files
  • Post and maintain required Labor Law notices on campus
  • Schedule Zoom meetings for various church groups
  • Serve as the church’s Google Workspace administrator
  • Order office and janitorial supplies before they run low
  • Maintain the church database, coordinating with our IT consultant when needed
  • Keep payment information current on church accounts (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace)
  • Track building keys, issuing and collecting them from volunteers
  • Serve as liaison to outside groups using our space (e.g., Marshallese ministry, Seashore Academy)
  • Manage the Senior Pastor’s calendar and appointments as needed
  • Hold pastoral confidentiality and trust with care

WHAT YOU’LL DO — MARKETING & MINISTRY

  • Create and send a weekly email update to the congregation and keep the email list current
  • Design weekly hallway TV announcements and a regular church newsletter
  • Create sign-up sheets, flyers, and other marketing and recruitment materials
  • Set up YouTube livestreams alongside our videography team
  • Keep an eye on digital trends and share ideas for keeping our content fresh and modern
  • Monitor and moderate social media to keep our online community safe and welcoming
  • Create on-brand content for our social media platforms
  • Keep our website current — events, pages, and files
  • Maintain brand standards that reflect who we are as a congregation
  • Review our digital marketing and social strategy and recommend improvements to the Pastor or publicity committee
  • Jump in on special projects as directed by the Pastor

WHAT YOU’LL DO — SUNDAY MORNINGS

  • Open upstairs classrooms for the Marshallese ministry group
  • Turn the Library livestream TV on before service and off afterward
  • Turn the hallway announcements TV on before service and off afterward
  • Welcome guest ministers and baptism guests and guide them to the Pastor’s office
  • Support the livestream tech team as needed
  • Print service notes for the Senior Pastor
  • Monitor the Library livestream to make sure it’s running smoothly
  • Greet new guests after worship with the Pastor, and pass along visitor information the following week
  • Help with fellowship time as needed

WHAT YOU BRING — ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Warmth, friendliness, and strong communication skills
  • Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or Mac Office apps (especially Pages)
  • A knack for building good working relationships
  • Ability to follow both spoken and written directions

WHAT YOU BRING — MARKETING & MINISTRY

  • Creativity and a good eye for visual design
  • A feel for digital trends and visual storytelling
  • Comfort with social media platforms, analytics, and tools like Sprout Social
  • Ease with reading and using performance metrics
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
